FAQ

Are Doodles hypoallergenic?

No dog is 100% hypoallergenic, because humans can be allergic to dander, saliva, and even urine. Having said that, Doodles who have the double furnishing genes are allergy friendly, which usually makes them suitable for individuals who are prone to dog allergies. If someone in your home suffers from severe allergies we recommend additional testing to be sure our dogs are compatible with your family.

Do Doodles shed?

We cannot 100% guarantee our dogs do not shed. However, our adult dogs are generally low/non shedding as we breed multi generational doodles.

Do your Doodles have a health guarantee?

They do! Utah Yankee Doodles offers a 3 year health guarantee as long as the puppy is fed a consistent diet of PawTree dog food and is not run on asphalt or cement in the first year of its life.

Are doodles good for families with children?

Doodles love children! We work hard to socialize puppies to humans of all ages, size, and genders. However, adult supervision and continued training of puppies is always needed.

Are Doodles good outside dogs?

Doodles love the outdoors! They love to go to parks, hiking, water sports, and they LOVE snow! However you will want to read up on how to protect them from the elements and the dangers of the outdoors.

Is a deposit required?

If you would like to be put on our waitlist you will need to fill out a puppy application. Once accepted you will need to pay a nonrefundable $500 deposit in order to be added to the waitlist for our next litter. The reason for this is we need a commitment from you as the puppy buyer that you want to be a puppy owner before we can give away a spot on the waiting list.

Do you ship puppies?

We do not ship puppies, but we do deliver them. There is a $500 delivery fee (or the cost of the flight if more) to have the puppy delivered outside of the state of Utah. The puppy will fly in the cabin with me, I do not put puppies in the cargo hold. I will meet you at the SLC airport for free.

When do I pick my puppy?

Puppy picks are scheduled when the puppies are 6 weeks old. Puppy picks can be done in person or via FaceTime or Zoom whichever works best for the puppy buyer. Puppy picks are scheduled in the order in which the deposits are received (the order of the waitlist).

Can I visit my puppy?

You may visit your puppy after the six week mark by appointment only. We encourage buyers to visit no more than one time a week.

What comes home with my puppy?

Every puppy comes home with a puppy pack. This bag includes a health/vaccine record, a toy, blanket, pawTree food, and treats.
